GET INVOLVED WITH CURLING NZ

Curling is an extremely complex sport based around a very simple idea. Slide a stone down a sheet of ice and have it stop as close as possible to the centre of a set of rings (called the house) – the problem being that your opposition will do everything tactically to stop you from achieving this goal.

TOURNAMENTS AND EVENTS

NZ Curling has competitions in both modern and traditional games that cater for all curling abilities. In the Modern game, you have local and secondary school weekly leagues and the ability to enter local tournaments and National Championships. The Traditional game also has local weekly competitions and challenges between clubs and councils.

TRADITIONAL & MODERN

It is the mission of the NZCA to improve and grow the ‘Olympic’ game of curling in New Zealand in both participation and international performance, while cherishing, preserving, and developing the uniquely Kiwi character of the outdoor, ‘crampit’ game.
