Selections are made within two weeks of the completion of the NZCA Junior Championship. The proposed timeframe for selections is below. 

• 1st April 2025: Self-nominations are open for NZ Junior Men's and Women's and those who are interested in selecting. 
• 30th May 2025: Self-nominations close.  
• Self-nominees are emailed an 'Athlete Information' sheet to be returned by Friday, 7th June
• The 2025 Selection Committee will be confirmed and advertised by 7th June.
• June: Self-nominee information collated and sent to the Selection Committee.
• June:  NZ Curling season begins. 
• 7th—11th July: Junior Training Camp. All Junior self-nominees are invited to attend. 
• Selection Committee Meeting #1
• 17th - 20th July: Junior MD Dunedin (dates tbc). 
• Selection Committee Meeting #2*
• 1st - 3rd August:  NZ Junior Championship, Dunedin
• Selection Committee Meeting #3*
• The Selection Committee will nominate teams for Selection.
• The Convenor of Selectors nominates selected teams to the NZCA Executive for confirmation. 
• 9th August:  Successful and unsuccessful self-nominees will be notified by email. 
• Successful self-nominees will be sent Athlete Guidelines and Agreement and are to confirm their acceptance on the team by returning a signed NZCA Athlete Agreement by 12th August. 
• All self-nominees will be asked to keep selections confidential until NZ Curling officially announces the team. 
• 12th August: Athlete Agreements are due (at the latest).  
• 16th August NZ Curling will make a Social Media announcement by 16th August to confirm Junior Teams (this is the second Friday after the Junior Championships). 
• NZ may only announce the team with positions to be confirmed after the Junior Training Camp. 
• 12th - 14th September: Junior Training Camp (positions may be confirmed in consultation with the coach, team and other coaches/selectors if needed).
