Any of the contacts below will be able to advise you if curling is being played on natural ice on the dam.

Regular Events / Curling

The Macrae Trophy is played on Mondays from late May till late July. This is an Idaburn Curling Council match involving the fifteen local clubs in the area from Queenstown to Oturehua. Spectators are welcome. Thursday evening is a club night, some matches are played, but it is mostly used as a time to introduce new curlers to the game, coach present curlers and let many who normally are leads or seconds have a go at skipping. We also have a number of curlers who cannot play on Mondays because of work commitments who make the Thursday evening their chance to play the game. Curling starts around 6.30pm and is finished at 10.00pm. Contact Claire Kitto ph (03) 448 7884.

Coaching for New Players
